Just came out of my facialxgelish treatment. Costed me $10-6% rebate due to FRANK rebates.
It's crazy how entitled consumers are these days. I think the money that reached the shop at the end of the day (~5?) is barely enough to pay for my beauticians' wages, let alone the product used.
Anyway I went to beauty perfect at tpy. Lost my way and when I googled the shop, I chanced upon a blog post swarmed with terrible reviews.
Just wanna be objective here and state that I received wonderful service from my beautician, Kristy (sp?). Lovely girl who was a joy to speak to ^^ thanks a lot babe
Anyway, back to my original topic: it's a blessing to be a consumer this time and day. Oligopolies and even MPC waging price wars on a day to day basis (price comparison is a bitch to work on); companies mistaking marketing channels for sales channels (Groupon, I'm staring at you).
So many exploitable deals arnd I'm lost for choice. In fact, I binged on the deals and bought a total of 15 whooping sessions of gelish (shoutout to Fyona for the introduction- this shit lasts forever) which expires in November. Lol I'm not sure how I should handle it..
Also, I just got a $16 interest from my OCBC 360 account. It has a measly 4 digit sum in it. Makes me wonder why I even bothered gambling when free money is all arnd :x
On the other hand, as an economist, I fear. I fear for these silly companies who are forgoing the long-term for the ever sso gratifying short-term. How sustainable is this exactly? When will my $10 facialxgelish deals eventually cause companies all over Singapore to fail and go bankrupt?
Id hate to go back to the days of $50 classic mani-pedi, membership or not..
