Chmel and friends - Fyona the healthy one

Once upon a time, in a vibrant town,

Lived a girl named Chmel, never with a frown.

She loved to explore and learn every day,

With her friend Fyona, who showed her the way.

Fyona was active, so healthy and strong,

With her radiant smile, she could never go wrong.

She'd wake up each morning, full of cheer,

Ready for her daily workout, oh my dear!

One sunny day, Chmel joined Fyona's quest,

To discover why exercise is truly the best.

They set off to the gym, with excitement in tow,

To learn why being healthy makes our spirits glow.

In the gym, Fyona showed Chmel around,

Weights, treadmills, and yoga mats abound.

She said, "Exercise keeps our bodies strong,

It's a special gift that we all should prolong."

Next, they stretched and reached for the stars,

Fyona said, "Flexibility will take you far.

It helps prevent injuries, keeps us agile and light,

So we can dance and play, from morning till night."

They practiced yoga, finding peace in each pose,

Fyona whispered, "It calms our minds and quiets our woes.

It teaches us focus, balance, and grace,

Brings harmony and calm to our busy space."

As they finished their workout, feeling so fine,

Chmel asked, "Why is exercise truly divine?"

Fyona smiled, sharing her wisdom so true,

"Exercise keeps us healthy, it's what we must do."

"It strengthens our bones and muscles, you see,

Boosts our immune system, makes us happy and free.

Food too, helps us grow both body and mind,

And brings a glow that others will find."

Proteins, the building blocks they knew,

From lean meats to tofu, they would pursue.

For muscles strong and bones so tall,

They knew protein was the hero of all.

Water, the magic potion to sip,

Kept them hydrated, never a drip.

It quenched their thirst, like a sparkling stream,

And helped their bodies, like a well-oiled machine.

Sugary treats, they enjoyed now and then,

But moderation was key, even then.

They knew too much could harm their health,

So they savored sweets with caution and stealth

Chmel and Fyona realized the importance that day,

Of exercising and staying active, come what may.

They made a promise, hand in hand,

To embrace a healthy lifestyle, across the land.

So, dear children, let this story be,

A reminder of the importance, so key.

Keep moving, keep playing, every single day,

For a healthy body and mind, come what may.

Psalm 84:10

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. It's been almost 500 days since I've left my full time job and man was it a journey.. thinking back of those days without my Lord, I really felt this verse speak to me. At first, guilt and shame overcame (more on that next time) - what did you do with these 500 days? What did you accomplish?  But God is gentle and kind - he spoke to me that 500 days on earth is no better than half a day in his courts. How many of us have had a bad half day? Does it affect the rest of our lives? Does it have an impact on eternity? If not, why should I let the enemy use guilt to over power me? A thousand days cannot compare to one day in your courts I'm forever yours <3

Skinny Me

So.. I've been bombarded with countless adverts of "skinny mint" on social media recently. Adverts of relatively attractive chicks holding on to this tiffany green package claiming that it works wonder on them and it takes just 28 days to detox and achieve a healthier looking body/lifestyle. I've visited the website and I found it pretty motivating, with nice fitspiration pictures of perfect size 0 angmo super models and what not. Really have to give a thumbs up to their marketing department. But here's what I have to say: If you think that money can buy you a great body, you're either fucking rich, or you're doing it wrong. Many people have this weird mentality that if I paid for it, it has to work. Right? I pay for an iphone6, it better not crack, I pay for facial, you better get those blackheads out of my nose, I pay for food, it better be delicious. So when they spend this $69.90 on this product that almost allllll bloggers are raving about...
